Design has been recognized as a key approach to a world in flux. But the great embrace of Design, also drives great noise. Everyone talks Design. Everyone thinks Design. Anyone can design.
As part of Belfast Design Week, we’re delighted to be hosting an exclusive screening of ‘The Frontiers of Design’ – an inspirational documentary film about the world we’re in and design’s role as an agent of global change.
This amazing piece of work by Swedish design firm Doberman amalgamates 20 interviews with influential organizations and designers about what’s next for Design. Together, the interviews form a diverse patchwork of perspectives across industries, disciplines and markets.
‘Frontiers’ isn’t a quest for ‘the answer – because there is no holy grail. On the contrary, it’s the beginning of a journey to uncover clues and spark an industry-wide dialogue about the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities at the Frontiers of Design.
We’re delighted to host the film in an appropriately unique space, Belfast’s Sonic Arts Research Centre. Join us on Wednesday 7th November for this unique opportunity to preview Frontiers ahead of its December 2018 release, followed by a panel discussion where we’ll get into some of the film’s themes and ask — what’s next for design?
Panellists will be announced soon. See you guys there!
